Rules

1. Play by dates:
Round 1: 23:00 on 24th of September;
Round 2: 23:00 on 22nd of October;
Quarter-final: 23:00 on 12th of November;
Semi-final: 23:00 on 30th of November;
Final will take place at 19:00 on 1st of December.

2. Entries will be limited to 32 players with up to 8 players seeded and the rest placed at random.

3. Event will run only if the minimum of 16 entries is reached

4. Final match will take place at 19:00 on 1st of December on a court booked by the organisers. If one of the players cannot play at the scheduled final match the other player will be declared a winner and an exhibition match will be played instead.

5. Matches can be played on any surface.

6. All participants have to have booking rights at peak times at DL Raynes Park

7. Matches from Semi-Finals onwards might include an umpire assigned by the system who will resolve conflicts with line calling and scores and will be streaming the match score as it progresses using UmpireCast facility.

8. Player who's name comes first in the match draw will be responsible for providing a set of good tennis balls (Wilson US Open, Head Tour or equivalent). Organisers will provide a new set of tournament grade balls for Semi-Finals onward.

9. There are no late cancellations, no-shows etc, only the completed match score should be entered. If a player has to step down for an injury, the opponent will progress further.

10. Both players need to enter the completed score in order for the result to be accepted by the system. Any match for which the score is not entered by both players at a play-by date, will be defaulted according to system rules.

11. System will default the match randomly choosing one the following outcomes based on a weight: 1 - player 1 wins, 1 - player 2 wins, 3 - both players are disqualified with competing branch's winner progressing to the next stage.

12. Organisers reserve the right to move people between Gents Singles Advanced and Gents Singles Intermediate if they feel that the player have entered the wrong event

13. Matches are two sets to 6 games with a short tie-break (to 7 with a 2 point lead) at 6 games all.

14. If the score reaches 1 set all, a match tie-break (to 10 with a 2 point lead) must be played to decide the winner, a full third set must not be played.

15. Deuces should be played out as normal (with no sudden death).
