Rules

1. League of teams playing in groups according to their level.

2. Pairs will need to join the league together.

3. Each league group consists of 5 to 7 teams where every team plays each other.

4. Each round typically runs for 8 weeks during which teams organise matches at mutually convenient times.

5. At the end of the round the top two teams will normally move to a higher league group and the bottom two will move to a lower group.

6. To qualify for next round teams have to play at least 2 matches, those who play less (1 or 0) will have to miss 1 round.

7. If a player in a team has to step down for an injury, the number of unplayed matches will be calculated pro-rata from the start of the round until the day injury was reported.

8. There are no late cancellations, no-shows etc, only completed match scores should be entered into the system.

9. Matches may be played on any surface

10. After each match one player from each team have to enter the score into the system.

11. Tie-break is number of matches played followed by the difference in games won and conceded followed by number of games won.

12. Matches consist of two sets, each up to 6 games, with a short tie-break (played to 7 points with a 2-point lead) if the score reaches 6-all in games.

13. If the match is tied at one set each, a match tie-break (played to 10 points with a 2-point lead) is played to decide the winner. A full third set is not played.

14. Deuces are played out in the standard format, without the application of sudden death rules.
